Mike Tyson Launches Edibles That Resemble An Ear With A Bite Taken Out

We all remember when legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson bit a part of Evander Holyfield’s ear off during a rematch in 1997. But just in case you forgot, Tyson just launched “Mike Bites,” a cannabis-infused edible that resembles an ear with a bite taken out of it. 

The 55-year-old former boxer has had a few ventures in the cannabis industry, with his most recent being Tyson 2.0, which launched in California in 2021 in partnership with Columbia Care.

Now, solely based on the products he’s selling, which include pre-rolls, beverages, extracts, and more, Tyson has a generous monthly income of $1 million, reports Sports Bible. 

He’s also the owner of a massive California weed farm that pulls in around $600,000 each month. Wanting to create some noise around Tyson 2.0, the former boxer recalls his anger and frustration in 1996 when he was defeated in round 11. 

Just a year later, Iron Mike still felt those frustrations deep inside, prompting him to channel those aggressive primal instincts and snag a bite of Holyfield’s ear a year later during the third round of their rematch. 

This resulted in Tyson getting suspended from matches for 15 months alongside a fine of $3 million. But it wasn’t until 2013 when Tyson and Holyfield crossed paths again when co-starring in a Foot Locker ad, which saw Iron Mike weirdly returning the piece of Holyfield’s ear he bit off. 

While the story lives on, Tyson wanted to immortalize it with the new “Mike Bites” from Tyson 2.0. The products are currently available in California, Nevada, Massachusetts, and Colorado, with Michigan as the next state.
